The Nigerian Under-17 team on Thursday night displayed a superior goal scoring ability to send packing the kiwi, New Zealand junior national team in the 16-team critical stage of the junior world cup played at the Abuja National Stadium.

The match attended by a capacity of estimated 45, 000 spectators largely drawn through a free ticket paid  for by the officials of Nigerian Federal Capital Territory Ministry started on a lack-lustre note, making a cynical Nigerian team Supporters to wonder if a stronger team would have been a preferred march for the Golden Eaglets.

Once the eaglet gained momentum and consolidated their initial sock and awe, it became a huge harvest of grace.

 

The kiwis became the first to be sent packing at the sixteen team stage of the junior world soccer fiesta being hosted by oil rich Nigeria.
