Appreciation to my ColleaguesPublished on October 9th, 2009
Regular readers of my column would notice the suddenness with which I moved from the highly successful brand pointblanknews.com.
The Publisher and Editor-In-Chief, Mr Jackson Ude, has been and remains my friend. We have been through thick and thin, from starting out together as co-editors of African Post in New York. He is a very generous young man. God has assisted us to be mentees and mentors to each other. I have asked for his blessings to release me to start a new outfit, with a new team and he has obliged. This new outfit is shapedgenews.com
I just thank God for the wonderful opportunity to have met Jackson. I strongly believe he has so much to contribute in terms of solutions to the ills of our affluent world. Jackson has good work ethics and that is a strength that every aspiring young entrepreneur should have.
I thank the Nigerian Diplomat, Mr. Isong Okon, who assisted Jackson and I immensely, when we both worked with African Post. I came out of that wonderful time respecting the intellectual power house called Nigerian Diplomatic corps.
I thank Chief Tai Balogun, the publisher of US-African Eye. I want to thank Mr Idowu Otetubi, former Chairman of debunked Akure Local Government, who realized my gift and appointed me his Personal and Press Assistant at an early age. I also want to thank Chief Festus Ugoma, who as the Chairman of Oshimili South Local Government, Delta State, allowed me to serve as his Press Secretary in 1997. I thank Mr. Moshood Fayemiwo, Mr. Gbenga Omotosho of The Nation, Dr. Reuben Abati, The Guardian for contributing great inspiration.
I thank veterans Mr. Lade Bonuola, Mr. Femi Kusa, who got me properly steamed at The Comet. I thank Hon. Ezeuche Ubani, Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu, This Day, Kolawole Olabisi, Mr Remi Ibitola, Dr Okey Okechukwu, Mr. Nosike Ogbuenyi, Dr Austin Uganwa, Miss Adetutu Folashade Koyi, Nduka Chiejina, Prieye Wadiri, Lere Olayinka, Churchill Umoren, Mr. Bisi Abidoye, Mr. Ademola Adetula, Yemi Olowolabi, Mr. Kayode Fasua, Mike Awoyinfa, Niyi Akinsiju, Mr. Jide Ogundele, Layiwola Adeniji, Mr. Wahab Gbadamosi, Omoyele Sowore, Emeke Asiwe, Masud Adebimpe, Mr. Modupe Osewole and others too numerous to mention.
