| ACTING PRESIDENT JONATHAN |
Nigeria’s Acting President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan on Monday sacked the National
Security Adviser; NSA, General Abdullah Muktar Sarki. He was immediately replaced by his
recurrent predecessor Aliyu Mohammed Gusau. Muktar was allegedly derelict,
sneaky and sneachy. He rejected text messages warning of intended attack against
the three christian villages with record casualties who were given mass burial
on Monday.
The decision, which is being held, as tactical and strategic came in the wake of his
failure to act on intelligence before Sunday morning ethnic purge of
unsuspecting victims by Hausa/ Fulani marauders in the suburb of Jos city in
North central Nigeria.
Close to eight hundred
villagers, mostly women and children were sneakedupon
and killed in a genocidal fashion by invaders in a style renascent of Pre-
colonial Jihadist raids.
At least, not more than five separate intelligence reports, some times from the
traditional ruler of the community of Jos had alerted of a possible reprisal
attack from the Hausa/ Fulani community. There had been
face-off between Muslims and christians in the city. The latest was about six
weeks ago.
Now there is the expectation that emergency rule could be
declared in Plateau state despite assurances that the situation is now under
control. Those who staged yesterday’s pogrom have not been apprehended. They
came with guns and machetes at about 2.30am. They raped and decapitated our
women and children. “We are defenseless. Our killers enjoy the support of the
ruling government “lamented Zainab Luka in a chat with Shapedgenews.com.
A source in Aso Rock , however, told Shapedgenews.com that if the leadership of
the ailing President Umaru Musa Yar’adua gave support to the belligerent Hausa\Fulani in the past, the tone and attitude
of the Acting President Jonathan is different. “Dr Jonathan wants peaceful co-
habitation amongst the people of Plateau state, and indeed all parts of
Nigeria.”
It was in further pursuit of the same objectives that the troopswere again
ordered out on sunday and security operatives have been
ordered to fish out the cowards that would murder women and
children like this”
The world’s attention shifted again to Nigeria from Sunday, and the world media
spared no mercy in declaring that the killings have again accentuated the
believe by the united state that Nigeria is an haven for some characters who
have terrorism disposition. United nation secretary General, Banky Moon warned
against revenge killings over Sunday's purge.
Acting President Jonathan continues his consultations with the armed forces on
Tuesday. Muktar will not be there, his eyes were off the ball, cavorting and
conniving with Turai Yar’Adua’s cabal, undermining Jonathan, while Jos smoldered
and innocent lives are lost.
