Gov. Olagunsoye Oyinlola of Osun has dissolved the State Executive Council. Mr Lasisi Olagunju, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, announced the dissolution in a statement released in Osogbo on Thursday.

 

The dissolved council was constituted by the governor shortly after his gubernatorial victory in the April 2007 general elections.

Oyinlola, according to the statement, expressed gratitude to members of the dissolved cabinet during a valedictory session earlier on Thursday.

Affected members of the council included the Secretary to the State Government, the Chief of Staff and the Commissioners.

The statement said former Commissioner for Information, Alhaja Idiat Aderinto, expressed appreciation to the governor for giving them opportunity to serve
