PRESS RELEASE: USAFRICANPOINTBLANK NEWS Debuts Published on January 5th, 2009

On Monday, January 4, 2010, USAFRICANPOINTBLANKNEWS, a weekly online news magazine established by seasoned African journalists resident in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa made its debut on reporting news about Africa and Africans all over the world. USAFRICANPOINTBLANK NEWS is set to reverse the information imbalance between the developed societies and the rest of the world, especially the African continent where the news have always been presented from the prism of western journalists. Log on to our website www.usafricanpointblanknews.com and read some of the most captivating news stories on Africa written by Africans for Africans and the global community. Designed to be a one stop news shop, we have links in our website to all major news publications – print and electronic – in the whole of the African continent.

With a crack team of journalists from Africa, we report news about the entire African continent, to educate our readers about Africa and the contributions that Africans, both in the Diaspora and in Africa are making towards world’s civilization. While we demand that Africa be treated with the respect that it deserves, as the cradle of the world’s civilization, we shall also hold Africa’s leaders squarely responsible for the good governance of Africa, by constantly putting them on their toes and making them answerable to their actions or the lack of it. We will praise African leaders or governments that bring pride to Africa and expose and condemn corrupt and ineffective leaders and governments that ridicule the continent. Our highly informative news reporting are thoroughly investigated, well researched and well written to capture the attention of all our readers worldwide.

We regularly showcase the positive and often under- reported contributions that Africans are making in the areas of science, technology, engineering, the arts and other areas of human endeavor where these activities are contributing to the world’s socio-economic and political development. In doing so, we shall become the most definitive and authoritative voice on Africa and the roles of Africans in the Diaspora.

Mindful of the onerous task before us, our reporting shall be responsible, objective, fair and balanced on all issues concerning Africa. As we made our debut with an online version of this magazine, we are also promising our readers that a print version will soon be in tow. The highlights of our debut includes an interview with Presidential hopeful,  Governor Mike Huckabee, a cover story on America’s notorious fraudsters or “419” kingpins , the looting of Congo Brazzaville by its President, Dennis Sassou-Nguesso and his son Christel, a focus on Africa’s first ladies and many more scintillating stories on Africa. We call on all that are interested in Africa to embark on this exciting tour of the rediscovery of Africa with us.
