Nigeria’s A-list Nollywood star, Nkem Owoh, comedian, popularly known as Osuofia has been kidnapped. 

 

Report reaching us revealed that Nkem Owoh had made a call earlier to inform them that he had been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.  He was whisked away penultimate Friday, November 6 along the Enugu – Port Harcourt Expressway.

 

The kidnappers are reported to be demanding the sum of 15 million naira as ransom from the family of Nkem Owoh. Details about the kidnapping are still unfolding as this has come as a shock to Osuofia’s fans and lovers of Nollywood in general.

 

It will be recalled that earlier this year in August, another Nollywood star, Pete Edochie was kidnapped at Nkpor, Anambra State by armed bandits but was later released.

 

Nollywood stars are now in fear of being abducted as there seems to be no safe haven for Nigerian actors/actresses since  the focus of the kidnapers have moved from foreign oil workers in the Niger Delta region, to stars in the entertainment industry.
