Judiciary Workers Strike May Stall Verdict On Ibori Published on November 5th, 2009
The protracted judiciary workers strike which stalled the verdict on former Anambra Governor, Dr. Andy Uba’s petition to be declared governor-in-waiting on Thursday may yet affect two other landmark cases in Nigeria as well.
The verdict in the prosecution of ex-Delta State Governor, Mr. James Ibori by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Asaba may be stalled on Friday.
Resumed hearing on Major Hamza Al-mustapha may be affected as well. AL-Mustapha was the chief security officer, CSO, to late General Sani Abacha. He is standing trial for alleged murder and human rights violations.
